DKK 279.00

MARCHE

The "Conero Riserva" is crafted from Montepulciano grapes grown in the "Podere del Fio" vineyard within the Natural Park of Monte Conero. The vineyard’s fertile sandy-limestone soil, ideal sun exposure, and the dedication of winemaker Luca Lanari make this tenacious wine possible. With low yields, high concentration, long maceration, careful sensory checks, and extended aging, the result is "Fibbio" – a unique wine that balances austere elegance with rich, concentrated fruit flavors.

Grape variety

100% Montepulciano

Vineyards of origin

Hilly vineyards of Varano, the grapes are picked only from the cru “Vigna del Carcere”, which with its unique favourable exposure and soil.

Soil: The sea breezes and the fertile, sandy limestone soil—poor yet rich in structure—allow the Montepulciano grape variety to express a unique organoleptic profile, characterized by a harmonious blend of flavors, colors, and aromas that cannot be replicated elsewhere.

Training system: Spurred cordon, 5/6 buds per plant.

Season in the field: The excellent climatic conditions ensured optimal phenological ripening, preserving aromatic precursors in the best possible way. This balance is beautifully reflected in the harmony between acidity and alcohol. The grapes, hand-harvested in crates, were picked at the middle of October. The craftsmanship begins in the vineyard, where multiple passes are made to harvest only perfectly ripe grapes, which are further selected on sorting tables after the harvest.

Average yield: 50 q/ha.

Vinification

Fermentation takes place in small stainless steel vats, lasting approximately 15 to 20 days.

Aging: New and first-use barriques for 12 months, which impart complexity and depth to the wine, enhancing its aromatic profile and structure.

Organoleptic aspects

With a beautiful deep ruby red color, highlighted by purple reflections, Fibbio offers a complex nose with aromas ranging from withered red roses to black fruits like currants and ripe sour cherries, sweet spices, and licorice, leaving a pleasant mineral and earthy finish. On the palate, it has a fine, elegant, and balanced entry, with a smooth texture, good freshness, and a silky tannic structure that makes the wine long, persistent, and enjoyable.

Pairings

It pairs beautifully with succulent meats and aged cheeses, and is an ideal match for more structured dishes, such as grilled T-bone steaks, braised meats, stews, game, and rich first courses like wild boar pappardelle. Also enjoyable as a meditation wine

Alcohol content and serving temperature
