Lanari - Rosso Conero DOC Classico 2022

DKK 149.00

MARCHE

The "Rosso Conero" originates from the Natural Park of Monte Conero, in the hilly vineyards of Varano, crafted by a masterful Grand Priore winemaker. The Lanari vineyards, located just a few hundred meters from the Adriatic Sea, benefit from this unique coastal position, giving the wine its distinctive character. With an intense ruby red color, a full body, and rich cherry notes, this wine offers a persistent, balanced, and refined flavor, making it ideal for long aging.

Grape variety

100% Montepulciano

Vineyards of origin

Hilly vineyards of Varano, with excellent southern exposure.

Soil: The sea breezes and the calcareous soil, poor yet rich in structure, enable the Montepulciano grape variety to express a unique organoleptic profile in Rosso Conero, characterized by a harmonious blend of flavors, colors, and aromas that cannot be replicated elsewhere.

Training system: Spurred cordon, 5/6 buds per plant.

Season in the field: The excellent climatic conditions ensured optimal phenological ripening, preserving aromatic precursors in the best possible way. This balance is beautifully reflected in the harmony between acidity and alcohol. The grapes, hand-harvested in crates, were picked at the middle of October. The craftsmanship begins in the vineyard, where multiple passes are made to harvest only perfectly ripe grapes, which are further selected on sorting tables after the harvest. This meticulous work continues throughout the refinement process, ensuring only the finest wines are produced.

Average yield: 80 q/ha.

Vinification

Fermentation takes place in small stainless-steel vats, lasting approximately 15 to 20 days.

Aging: The wine is then aged in the bottle for about 4 months, allowing for the development of complex aromas and a harmonious balance.

Organoleptic aspects

Defined by remarkable aromatic persistence and a palate rich in ripe fruit, evolving into jam-like notes with aging. Its color transitions from deep ruby with violet hues in youth to garnet and amber tones over time. On the palate, vibrant initial tannins soften with aging, giving way to a smooth and full-bodied structure. Its aromatic complexity, dry finish, and warm sensation perfectly reflect the unique terroir of the Conero promontory.

Pairings

Pairs beautifully with succulent white meats, roasted poultry, and medium-aged cheeses, as well as aromatic and flavourful dishes. With aging, it becomes an ideal match for more structured fare, such as grilled T-bone steaks, braised meats, stews, game, and rich first courses like wild boar pappardelle.

Alcohol content and serving temperature

Alcohol content: 13,5% Vol.

Serving Temperature: 16 - 18 °C.
