DKK 149.00

VIGNETI DELLE DOLOMITI IGT - TEROLDEGO - TRENTINO

It is believed that Teroldego derives from Tiroler Gold, the "gold of Tyrol," and is considered the quintessential indigenous grape variety. This variety, closely related to Lagrein, can proudly claim Pinot as its distant yet illustrious ancestor. A wine that embodies the Trentino tradition and evokes the mountains.

Grape variety

100% Teroldego.

Vineyards of origin

The family’s Pradi vineyards, sun-drenched and refreshed by the daily breezes that gently sweep through the Valle dei Laghi nested in between the Brenta Dolomites and Lake Garda.

Soil: Sandy, provide the perfect setting for this indigenous grape.

Training system: Trentino pergola, the traditional training system that allows Teroldego to express its full potential.

Season in the field: The excellent climatic conditions ensured optimal phenological ripening, preserving aromatic precursors in the best possible way. This balance is beautifully reflected in the harmony between acidity and alcohol. The grapes, hand-harvested in crates, were picked at the end of September.

Average yield: 50 q/ha.

Vinification

Fermentation takes place in small stainless-steel vats, lasting approximately 20 days. Malolactic fermentation is also entirely carried out in stainless steel.

Aging: 12 months in French oak barriques, followed by 6 months in the bottle.

Organoleptic aspects

Brilliant ruby red, rich in polyphenols, fresh and full-bodied, floral and enveloping, with aromas reminiscent of forest fruits. On the palate, it is assertive, smooth, round, and has the right tannin structure.

Pairings

Teroldego is a typical Trentino wine that goes well with regional cuisine: first courses such as “canederli” with meat souce, traditional goulash or other soups with meat.

Alcohol content and serving temperature

Alcohol content: 13,5% Vol.

Serving Temperature: 16 - 18 °C.
